How do I turn on two-factor authentication, and what if I lose my phone?
Two-factor authentication adds a 6-digit code from an authenticator app to your sign-in; it is set up on the website.
Two-factor authentication protects your account with a second step: after your password, you enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
Turning it on
Two-factor authentication is set up on the website.
- Sign in at my.conservativestates.app and open Settings from the menu under your name.
- In the Security section, choose Enable 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type in the code shown under it.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app to finish.
Once it is on, the website and the apps ask for a code each time you sign in with your password. In the app, Settings shows whether two-factor authentication is enabled.
Turning it off
In Settings, under Security, choose Disable and confirm with a current code from your app.
If you lost your phone or authenticator app
There are no backup codes, so a person has to help. Email support@conservativestates.app from the email address on your account. We will verify it is you, turn two-factor authentication off, and you can sign in and set it up again on your new device.
If this does not solve it, email support@conservativestates.app with the email address on your account.
