Delete Your Account

You can delete your Conservative States account yourself at any time, from the app or the website. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. One account covers the website and the mobile apps, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.

In the mobile app (iPhone or Android)

1. Open the app and sign in.
2. Tap your initials at the top of the home screen to open your profile, then tap Settings.
3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE, enter your password, and confirm.

On the website

1. Sign in at my.conservativestates.app.
2. Open Settings and scroll to Delete Account.
3. Click Delete my account…, type DELETE, enter your password, and confirm.

Can't sign in?

Email privacy@conservativestates.app from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

When you delete your account, we immediately:

• Erase your name, email address, password, and street address, including the map location derived from it
• Remove your legislative districts and the list of your representatives
• Remove the issues you chose in your profile
• Disconnect any Gmail or Outlook account you connected and delete its access tokens
• Remove your registered devices and push-notification tokens, and turn off all email and push notifications
• Remove two-factor authentication and sign you out on every device
• Cancel any active subscription so you are not billed again

What is kept

• De-identified activity records. The bills you tracked, analyses you saved, positions you took on bills, and a log of letters you sent (recipient, bill, and date) stay attached to an anonymous account record that no longer holds your name, email, or address. They are kept so that legislative activity statistics stay accurate.
• Letters you already sent. Letters delivered to legislators are in their inboxes, and letters sent from a connected Gmail or Outlook account are in your Sent folder there. We cannot recall or delete those.
• Usage analytics. App usage events are stored by our analytics provider under a numeric ID, not your name or email. Email us if you would like them deleted as well.
• Organization supporter records. If you joined through an advocacy organization's action page, email us and we will also remove your supporter record with that organization.
• Billing records. Payment records are kept by our payment processor, Stripe, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
