Does the app work on iPad, Android tablets and folding phones?
Yes; on larger screens the app shows lists and details side by side.
iPad
The iPhone app runs as a full iPad app. It turns to any orientation and works in Split View and Slide Over. On a full iPad screen, or two-thirds of one:
- Bills shows the list on the left and the bill you chose on the right.
- Reps shows your own legislators across the top and the directory beside the chosen member.
- Home spreads into a wider grid.
In a narrow pane the app uses its phone layout.
Android tablets
The Android app runs on tablets, using the same side-by-side layouts on large screens.
Folding phones
On folding phones, including Apple's folding iPhone, the app fills the screen folded or unfolded and adjusts as you open and close it, with no restart. Opened up, Bills and Reps show the list and details side by side, split along the fold.
One tablet, one phone
Your account can be signed in on one tablet and one phone at the same time, and signing in on a tablet never signs your phone out. A folding iPhone counts as a phone. See the article on devices and sessions.
If the layout looks wrong after an update, make sure you have the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play.
