Conservative States

How do I switch between my state and U.S. Congress?

On the State + Congress plan, a switch moves the whole app between your state legislature and the U.S. Congress.

The State + Congress plan lets you follow both your state legislature and the U.S. Congress. You look at one at a time, and the whole app follows your choice: Home, the bill lists, the calendar, your legislators and your followed bills.

Switching

  • Website: the switch in the left-hand menu, with your state on one side and U.S. Congress on the other. Choose the one you want.
  • App: tap your state's name at the top of Home, or the name shown beside the title on the Bills, Act, Calendar and Reps tabs, then choose your state or U.S. Congress.

Your choice is remembered across devices. If you switch on the website, the app follows the next time it refreshes.

Good to know

  • Notifications cover both. A followed Congress bill still sends updates while you are viewing your state, and the other way around.
  • Your followed bills are kept separately. Each list shows only the bills from the place you are viewing.
  • In Congress, letters go to your own members. Congressional offices take mail from their own constituents, so letters go to your U.S. Representative or your two Senators, not to a committee.
  • No switch? The switch appears only on the State + Congress plan. To add Congress, open Settings, then Subscription, and choose Add Congress (website) or Add U.S. Congress (app).
