I subscribed at the old price. Do I keep it?

Yes. If you subscribed before October 2026 at $8 a month or $60 a year, your subscription is grandfathered. It keeps renewing at that price, and you have everything in the State plan.

A few things to know:

• Keep the subscription active to keep the price. If you cancel and the subscription ends, a new subscription is at the current prices: $12 a month or $90 a year for State, or $19 a month or $139 a year for State + Congress.
• Adding U.S. Congress moves you to the State + Congress plan at its current price. See the article on the two plans before you switch.
• Settings shows your plan as State. That is expected.

Complimentary access

A small number of accounts have complimentary access. Settings shows their status as Complimentary access, and there is no billing page or Billing menu item, because there is nothing to bill.
