Conservative States

How do I create an account, and why do you need my street address?

Signing up takes three short steps, and your street address is how we find the legislators who represent you.

You can create an account on the website or in the iPhone or Android app. Signup is open in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The three steps

  1. Your account. Enter your first and last name, your email address (twice, so a typo cannot lock you out), and a password of at least 8 characters.
  2. Your location. Start typing your home address and pick it from the list. You will see "Address Selected" once we have it.
  3. Your interests. Choose at least one topic you care about, such as Second Amendment, Education or Taxes & Spending. You can change these any time.

Choose Create Account and you are signed in right away. There is no confirmation email to wait for. The next page asks you to choose a plan and start your free trial.

Why we ask for your street address

Legislative districts do not follow ZIP codes or city lines, so a street address is the only reliable way to find your districts. From your address we work out:

  • Your state, which decides which legislature you see
  • Your state house and state senate districts, and every legislator who represents them
  • Your congressional district, your U.S. Representative and your two U.S. Senators

We also sign your letters to legislators with your name and street address, because offices use it to confirm you are a constituent. You can turn the address off for letters in Settings.

If this does not solve it, email support@conservativestates.app with the email address on your account.
