How do I find bills with Browse, filters and saved searches?

Browse lists every bill in the legislature you are viewing, most recent action first. On the website it is Browse Bills in the menu. In the app it is the Browse view on the Bills tab.

Searching

Type a bill number however you like: "sb34", "SB 34" and "S.B. 34" all find the same bill. You can also type words, and each word must appear somewhere in the bill's number, title, description, summary, sponsor names or category. Results put exact bill-number matches first.

Filters

• Website: choose a session, category, chamber, sponsor's party or a sponsor. Under Include, check Resolutions, Joint Resolutions, Passed or Failed to add those bills to the list. Clear all filters starts over.
• App: tap Filters to narrow by your issues, chamber, status or session. The app remembers your filters until you change or reset them.

Bills on your issues

See all bills on your issues on Home opens Browse showing only bills in the categories that match the issues in your profile.

Advanced search and saved searches (website)

Choose Advanced search to build a more precise search, for example words that must appear in the bill text. To keep a search, open Saved searches, choose Save this search and give it a name. Saved searches keep the search words and the advanced conditions, not the quick filters. Your saved searches are private to you.

Acting on a bill from the list

• Website: View opens the bill, Track follows it and Hide removes it from Browse.
• App: tap a row to open the bill. Swipe left to follow or hide it, and swipe right to take action.

Hidden bills are kept on a separate list. On the website choose View hidden bills at the bottom of Browse, and in the app open Settings, then Hidden bills. Choose Unhide to bring one back.
