Conservative States

Is there a guide for developers building an integration?

Developers can read the API reference and guide, and can install a free public skill that teaches AI coding assistants how to build a correct integration.

Yes. There are three resources for the developer who connects your CRM or other systems.

  • The API reference. An interactive list of every partner API endpoint and data format. It is linked from Settings, under Partner API & webhooks.
  • The partner API guide. A written guide to authentication, keeping a CRM in sync, webhooks and checking webhook signatures. It is linked from the same place.
  • The MCP connection guide. Step-by-step setup for AI apps. It is linked from Settings, under MCP connections.

The developer skill

We publish a free, public skill for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and GitHub Copilot. It teaches the assistant how to build a correct Conservative States integration: syncing supporters to a CRM over the partner API, receiving and verifying webhooks, and connecting an MCP client. It includes sample code for verifying webhook signatures.

Your developer can install it with:

`` npx skills add conservative-states/skills ``

The skill describes how the API works. It contains no keys and no data about your organization. Your developer still needs an API key from an Owner. See the article on the partner API.

If this does not solve it, email support@conservativestates.app and tell us your organization's name.
