Who can see our data, and how long is it kept?
Your organization's data is visible only to your own staff, private items stay with their creator, and data retention or deletion requests go to our privacy team.
Who sees what
- Your bills, positions, notes, supporters and campaigns are visible only to your own staff. Other organizations on Conservative States cannot see them.
- Within your organization, every staff member can view shared data. A private Issue Portfolio, private saved search or private report template is visible only to the person who made it. Not even an Owner can open it.
- The public sees only what you publish: action pages, bills you mark Show on website, and shared report pages.
- Partner API keys and AI connections read only what is described in their settings sections. Connected WordPress sites see only published bills and action pages.
Supporter information
Supporters give their consent when they sign up. Alert emails always include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored automatically. See the article on consents and unsubscribes.
Getting a copy of your data
Staff can export supporters, legislators and search results as spreadsheet files from the portal. Report runs stay available to download. For anything else, email support@conservativestates.app.
Retention and deletion
Questions about how long data is kept, or requests to delete your organization's data or a supporter's personal information, go to privacy@conservativestates.app. Tell us your organization's name. The Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.
If this does not solve it, email support@conservativestates.app and tell us your organization's name.
