What do the Dashboard and Activity pages show?

The Dashboard is your home page with what needs attention today, active campaigns and this week's hearings; the Activity page is your team's feed and approvals board.

The Dashboard

Dashboard is the first item in the left navigation and the page you land on after signing in. Everyone on your staff sees it.

The banner

The banner at the top shows today's date and your legislature, a greeting, and how many things need your attention today (or "You're all caught up."). Two numbers sit beside it:

  • Tracked Bills: how many bills your organization tracks, and how many were added today.
  • Actions This Week: actions your supporters took in the last 7 days, with the change from the 7 days before.

Needs your attention

A short list of what to act on, up to five of each kind:

  • Hearings in the next day for your tracked bills, with the committee or floor.
  • Bill changes since your last visit: important new actions on your tracked bills since you last opened the Dashboard. Each has Send alert to supporters, and View campaign when the bill is in a campaign.
  • Draft alert ready: alerts saved as drafts, with Review & send.

Because bill changes are counted from your last visit, they clear once you have seen them. The full record of bill changes is on the Notifications page.

Active campaigns

Your running campaigns with their total actions, a 7-day trend line and a Momentum label:

  • Surging: at least 25% more actions in the last 7 days than the 7 days before.
  • Steady: within 25% either way.
  • Slowing: at least 25% fewer.
  • Idle: no actions in either week.

Click a campaign to open it.

This week at the Capitol

Hearings and floor calendars for your tracked bills over the next 7 days, by day, with the committee or chamber and the campaign a bill is in.

Team activity

The latest things your teammates did, such as creating a campaign, tracking a bill, drafting or sending an alert, or publishing an action page.

The Activity page

Open Activity under Administration in the left navigation. The page is headed Team activity and has two views, Feed and Board.

Feed

A running list of what is happening across your organization, grouped by day. Tabs across the top:

  • All: everything.
  • @ Mentions: comments where a teammate mentioned you, marked @You. View & reply opens the conversation.
  • My drafts: your own drafts, with Open draft.
  • System events: changes on your bills, marked Auto, with Send alert and Open bill.

Alerts waiting for approval show Needs review, with Review and Approve & send. Only Owners can approve and send.

On the right, Team lists your staff and their roles, and Quick filters jumps to Mentions of you, Drafts awaiting approval, Bill movements today and My drafts, with a count beside the first three when there is anything to count.

Board

A board for work that needs approval, with four columns:

  • Inbox: new work.
  • In progress: being worked on, including anything sent back with Changes requested.
  • Needs your review: waiting for approval.
  • Shipped this week: sent or published in the last 7 days.

Each card is marked Alert, Page, Stance or Task, and may show Urgent or a due day such as Send today. Drag a card to move it between columns.

  • Owners and Editors can add a task with New task (type a title, tick Urgent if needed) and move cards between Inbox, In progress and Needs your review.
  • Only Owners can Approve or Reject a card in review. An approved card is marked Approved. Rejecting sends it back to In progress marked Changes requested.
  • Analysts and Viewers can see the board but not move cards.

If a move is not allowed, the card goes back and you see "That move isn't allowed."

How alerts are reviewed and sent is covered in the alerts articles.
