Which kind of account do I have, and where do I sign in?
Subscribers, organization staff and supporters each sign in in a different place; using the wrong sign-in page shows a message pointing you to the right one.
Conservative States has three kinds of accounts. Each one signs in in its own place.
Subscriber
You pay for a Conservative States subscription to follow your legislature yourself.
- Sign in on the main Conservative States website or in the iPhone or Android app, with the same email and password everywhere.
- Two-factor authentication is optional and can be turned on in Settings.
Supporter
You signed up for free on an advocacy organization's action page.
- Sign in on that organization's own pages, from its action page (I have an account) or its sign-in page, which says "Access your supporter account."
- The same account works on the pages of every organization that uses Conservative States.
Organization staff
You work for an advocacy organization and were invited to its team.
- Sign in on your organization's staff sign-in page, not the main website.
- Two-factor authentication is required for staff.
- If you try to sign in on the main website, you will see "This account belongs to an organization. Please use the organization login."
Messages that point you elsewhere
- "This account has been upgraded to a Conservative States subscription." You were a supporter and now have a subscription. Choose Go to subscriber login, or on an organization's action page choose Have a Conservative States subscription? Sign in with it.
- "This account belongs to an organization." Use your organization's staff sign-in page.
Can one email have two kinds of account?
No. Each email address belongs to one account. A supporter who subscribes keeps the same account, which becomes a subscriber account. Organization staff use a separate email address if they also want a personal subscription.
