How does Conservative States handle my privacy?

This is a short summary. The full Privacy Policy is the binding version.

What we collect

• Your account details: name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled form) and your home address.
• What you do in the service: the bills you follow, the positions you record, the letters you write and the issues you choose.
• A title and phone number, only if an office's official contact form requires them to deliver your letter.
• Basic device and usage information, such as browser type and pages viewed.
• If you subscribe, limited billing details such as the card brand and last four digits. Our payment processor, Stripe, handles your full card number; we never see or store it.

How we use it

To find your legislators from your address, deliver the letters you ask us to send, send the notifications you choose, draft summaries and letters with artificial intelligence, and keep the service running and secure. The positions and letters you record reveal political opinions; we use them only to provide the service to you.

Who we share it with

• The offices you write to receive your name, address, email and your letter.
• An organization whose page you use receives what you give on its page, the letters you send from it and the consents you give it.
• Service providers who run parts of the service for us, such as hosting, email delivery, address lookup, AI drafting and payments.

We never sell your information and never use your positions or letters for advertising.

Your choices

• Change your details in your profile or settings.
• Unsubscribe from any email with its link.
• Delete your account. Subscribers can do this in Settings on the website or in the app; the Delete Your Account page explains how and what is kept. Supporters, or anyone who cannot sign in, can email privacy@conservativestates.app.
• Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser to opt out of advertising measurement on our websites.
