What do the Terms of Use say, in brief?
A plain summary of the main points of the Terms of Use; the full Terms of Use are the binding version.
This is a short summary for convenience. The full Terms of Use are the binding version, and they control if anything here differs.
Who can use Conservative States
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- The service is meant for people in the United States.
- One account per person, with accurate details. Your address must be where you live, because it decides who represents you.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account.
Writing to legislators
- Write respectfully, and write to officials who represent you or who are deciding on a matter that affects you.
- Letters are sent as you wrote them, in your name, signed with your name and, unless you turn it off in Settings, your street address.
- Respect the limits, including one letter per office at each stage of a bill and daily sending limits.
- No spam, harassment, threats, impersonation or automated use.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are bought on our website, billed through Stripe, and renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- A free trial is available once per customer and turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Except where the law requires, payments are not refundable.
Organizations and supporters
- Organizations use the service under their own agreement with us and are responsible for what they publish and send.
- If you sign up on an organization's page, what you give there is shared with that organization, which may contact you according to the consents you gave. You can withdraw consent with any unsubscribe link.
Information and AI
- Legislative data comes from LegiScan and official sources. We work to keep it accurate but cannot guarantee it.
- AI-written summaries, analyses and letter drafts may contain mistakes and are not legal advice. Review any letter before you send it.
Disputes
The Terms are governed by Tennessee law. Disputes go first to good-faith negotiation and then to individual binding arbitration; class actions are waived.
