Conservative States

What is on my supporter dashboard?

Your dashboard greets you, counts what you have done with the organization, lists the asks you can still answer, shows the organization's bills and your legislators, and keeps your full action history.

Your supporter dashboard is on the organization's own pages. Sign in from the organization's sign-in page and you land there. It is about your activity with that one organization.

Dashboard

The top of the page is a dark panel that names the organization and your state, greets you by first name, and says how many actions you have taken with the organization and your level (Supporter, Advocate or Champion). Once you have taken an action, three numbers sit beside it: Actions taken, Bills you acted on and Legislators reached.

Below the panel:

  • Four counts, each a link: Actions taken, Bills you acted on, Legislators reached and Email accounts connected.
  • Actions you can take: the organization's open asks. Choose Write a letter to open one. Asks you have already answered show Letter sent.
  • Your milestones: your level, a bar toward the next milestone, and the milestones you have earned.
  • Recent actions: your latest letters, one line each, with the bill and who it reached, and where that bill stands now. Choose a line to open that action. All actions opens the full history.
  • A card headed Go further. It describes what a Conservative States subscription adds and offers See what's included. Choose Not now to put it away for a month. You never need a subscription to take action with the organization. See How do I become a full Conservative States subscriber?.

A new account that has not acted yet sees the greeting, a note that the first letter is the one that counts, and the organization's open asks instead of counts.

Bills

The bills behind the organization's campaigns, one card each: the bill number, the organization's position (Support, Oppose or Neutral), a plain-English summary where one exists, and the campaign the bill belongs to. Write a letter opens the campaign page; a bill you already wrote about shows Letter sent, and View the page opens the campaign page either way.

My Legislators

Your own legislators, matched to your address, with how each one has voted on the bills the organization took a position on. Each legislator carries a label such as Strong ally, Usually with us, Swing vote, Usually against us or No scored votes yet, and the share of scored votes cast the organization's way. The votes are listed under each legislator: the Bill, Our position, Their vote, whether it was a Match, and the Date. A bill you wrote about is marked You acted. These labels reflect the organization's positions, not ours.

If you see "We couldn't match your legislators yet," check your address on your Profile.

My Actions

Your complete action history with the organization, newest first. Each letter you sent is one row, however many people it went to: the date, the bill (or the campaign, for a letter with no bill), your position, who it reached ("3 legislators", the committee's name, "Governor") and the bill's status now.

Choose a row to open the action:

  • Who received it lists each person the letter went to, with their title and district where we know them. Under the list, when we recorded it, a line says where the bill was when you wrote, for example "in the House Judiciary Committee" or "before the full Senate". Older letters may not have this line.
  • Your letter shows the subject and the letter as sent. When it went to several people, each copy was addressed to that person and the rest was the same.
  • Where the bill stands now is the same bill card the campaign page shows: the committee it sits in, its path through the legislature, the summary, the sponsors and the documents.
  • Open the action page takes you back to the campaign page while it is still taking letters.

If a letter was sent before we began keeping the text, the page says so instead of showing it.

Profile and Settings

Open the menu under your name at the top right.

  • Profile shows your name, email and the date you joined, your address, Your legislative districts and Your representatives with their contact details. Choose Edit to change your name or address. Your address can change once every six months.
  • Settings is where you change your password, turn on two-factor authentication, connect Gmail or Outlook under Email accounts for advocacy, and set the title and phone number used when a letter is delivered to a congressional office for you.

Go further

The left-hand menu ends with Go further. It opens a page that explains what a subscription adds to your supporter account, with your own state's numbers, and lets you choose a plan.

If this does not solve it, contact the organization you signed up with. Their staff can reach us on your behalf.
