What emails will I get from the organization, and how do I unsubscribe?
If you agreed to hear from an organization, it can send you action alerts under its own name; every one has an unsubscribe link that stops them.
Action alerts from the organization
When you sign up with the box Receive campaign updates and action alerts checked, you agree to hear from that organization. It can then email you about its campaigns, usually with a button that takes you to an action page.
These emails carry the organization's name as the sender. The organization writes them; Conservative States delivers them. Each one ends with an unsubscribe link and a "Powered by Conservative States" line.
If you unchecked the box, or you joined an organization by signing in with an account you already had, you are not on its email list. You can still take action on its pages.
Unsubscribing
Choose the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email from the organization. A page confirms "Unsubscribed" and says you have been unsubscribed from email updates from that organization. Many email apps also show their own Unsubscribe button at the top of the message, which does the same thing. Marking the email as spam also stops further alerts.
Unsubscribing applies to that one organization. If you support several organizations, each has its own list and its own unsubscribe link.
Once you unsubscribe, the organization cannot put you back on its list itself. If you change your mind later, email us.
Questions about what an organization sends, how often, or what its campaigns say belong with that organization.
Other emails with their own unsubscribe pages
Organizations can send a few other kinds of email through Conservative States, each with its own stop link:
- Scheduled reports. If an organization sends you a report by email on a schedule, the link leads to a page asking "Stop these emails?" Choose Stop these emails and you will see "You will no longer get this report by email."
- Saved search emails and email digests. These go to an organization's own staff about bills that changed. Their links work the same way: Stop these emails or Stop this digest.
Account emails
Emails about your account, such as a password reset link, come from Conservative States, not the organization. They are sent only when you ask for them.
If this does not solve it, contact the organization you signed up with. Their staff can reach us on your behalf.
