What can the organization see about me?
The organization sees the details you gave when you joined, your districts, the consents you gave it and the actions you took on its pages, including the letters you sent.
When you sign up or take action on an organization's page, you become that organization's supporter, and it can see your record with it. Only that organization sees it; other organizations you support each see only their own record.
What the organization sees
- Your name and email address.
- Your address and the legislative districts it falls in, which the organization uses to know which legislators represent you and to send you alerts that matter where you live.
- The consents you gave it, such as agreeing to receive campaign updates and action alerts, and when you gave or withdrew them.
- Your actions on its pages: which page you used, which bills and officials you wrote to and when, and the letters you sent from its pages, including any changes you made to its suggested letter.
- How you found it, such as the page you joined from or the link or website that sent you there.
- A phone number, if you gave one for an office that required it.
Organizations can also bring this information into their own tools, such as a membership database. When they do, the text of your letters is not included, only the subject line.
What the organization does not see
- Your password or your two-factor authentication codes.
- Your connected Gmail or Outlook account, or anything in your inbox.
- Anything you do with other organizations, or with a Conservative States subscription.
Reading bills on the organization's website
When you read the organization's bills on its own website or on the bill pages we host for it, the organization sees counts of views and clicks. Those counts never include your name, email address or account.
The organization's own practices
The organization uses your information under its own privacy practices, which we do not control. Questions about how it uses your information, or requests to it, belong with that organization. Our Privacy Policy describes what Conservative States does.
If this does not solve it, contact the organization you signed up with. Their staff can reach us on your behalf.
