Conservative States is an independent, privately operated service run by Conservative States, LLC. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government agency, legislature, elected official or political party.

What comes from the government's record

Bills, bill text, amendments, status, sponsors, committee referrals, hearing schedules and roll call votes are public records published by each legislature on its official website, listed below. We receive them through these services, which collect them from those official records:

LegiScan, a legislative data service covering all 50 state legislatures, the Council of the District of Columbia and the U.S. Congress. It sends us updates throughout the day.
Congress.gov, the Library of Congress's official site for federal legislation, for congressional committee meetings.
Open States and the legislatures' own member directories, for committee memberships and legislators' contact details.

Updates can take a little time to reach the app. The legislature's official website is always the authoritative record, so check it before relying on a detail.

The plain-English summaries and analyses, the support, oppose or watch recommendations, and the letters we help you draft are written by Conservative States, with the help of artificial intelligence, from a conservative perspective. They are our opinion, not a statement from any government body, and they are not legal advice.
